Visitors to New Zealand’s largest city Auckland have been facing a rather amusing and offensive greeting to Aotearoa, after the supermarket Countdown lost its “O”.
The sign had the critical letter letter missing for three days due to a fault with the signs electronic driver, before it was quickly fixed.
A Countdown in Northcote lost its “O” in 2017 and took a few weeks to correct the issue. A Countdown in Invercargill and Paraparaumu also fell victim to a faulty sign recently.
